The Partners proudly announce that Marta E. Rodríguez, has been admitted to the partnership, effective November 1, 2021.
She is a Certified Public Accountant with more than nineteen years of experience and is also a Certified Valuation Analyst, and Certified Global Management Accountant.
As Partner and Head of the Advisory Department she will oversee the operational, transactional, and forensic advisory practice in Puerto Rico and will continue providing advisory services in the areas of internal audit, risk advisory, valuations, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, forensic examinations, and litigation support, among others.
In addition to the advisory work, she has participated in a variety of attestation engagements and has vast experience in business processes and internal control documentation, and risk assessment methodologies. Also, she has performed other services to companies such as management consulting, forecasts, projections, and agreed upon procedures.
During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic Marta was a keyperson, who joined forces with other team members of the Advisory and Tax Departments, in the offering of over twenty presentations to clients and the business community related to the benefits of the Paycheck Protection Program – CARES Act approval.
Marta’s career path in the Firm commenced in 1998, when she was in her first year of college and as a student, she came to work to provide support on administrative functions and audit projects during her spare time.
In 2002, she was hired as an audit staff, and in 2010 she was promoted to Audit Manager. Later in 2014, she discovered she had a passion for the advisory services and was transferred to the Advisory Department where she was an Advisory Senior Manager for the past two years.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and is a member of the Puerto Rico State Society of Certified Public Accountants the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Presently, she is in her third tenure as Treasurer of the Hecho en Puerto Rico Association.
